Bloom Biorenewables Ltd is a Swiss company providing chemical technologies to accelerate the inevitable transition to sustainable materials. Bloom’s vision is to use widely available plants to manufacture petroleum-like products that can be used by the petro-chemical industry. This is possible today thanks to a recently patented method, which prevents undesired degradation of the most underutilized parts of plants (lignin and hemicellulose). This strategy reveals the hidden value of plants and improves profitability of bio-refineries by unlocking higher value markets. Bloom aims at deploying its solution to manufacture sustainable and cost competitive substitutes to petro-derived products in markets such as fuels, fragrances, materials, plastics or textiles.
