CLIMADA Technologies

The Zurich-based start-up CLIMADA Technologies was founded in 2022 by Sebastian Glink, Simone Thompson and David Bresch with the aim of advancing the global mindset towards anticipating and adapting to climate impact.

Climate change poses a significant threat and challenge to humanity. A comprehensive understanding of the scope of the required response is paramount. It is therefore vital that science-based, multi-hazard solutions that meet the demands of the market are provided. The open-source framework of CLIMADA, built over eight years by the ETH Weather and Climate Risks Group in collaboration with climate experts worldwide, is acknowledged as a state-of-the-art modelling framework.

CLIMADA Technologies is working to develop a scalable software solution that leverages this open source modelling framework to deliver forward-looking analysis, covering the most acute and chronic hazards and responding to regulatory reporting demand, in-depth resilience assessments all the way through to the exploration of relevant adaptation measures. The mission of CLIMADA Technologies is to advance the global mindset towards anticipating and adapting to climate impact.
