Dr. Catherine Chammartin

Catherine Chammartin is Director of the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property (IPI). Internationally, she is a member of the Administrative Council of the European Patent Organisation (EPO) in Munich. She received her doctorate from the University of Zurich in 2009. Before joining the IGE in 2015, she worked as a research assistant at the Chair for Private and Commercial Law at the University of Zurich, as a lawyer at the Federal Finance Administration (FFA) and at the State Secretariat for International Financial Matters (SIF). Most recently, she was head of the Exchange of Information and Individual Taxation Section.
