Wim Ouboter

Wim Ouboter is the founder and CEO of Micro Mobility Systems and a Swiss pioneer in the field of micromobility. With the Micro Scooter, he made the kick scooter suitable for everyday use and sparked a global movement. More than 90 million scooters sold now shape urban landscapes around the world.

In 2015, Ouboter brought his sons Oliver and Merlin into the company. Together they developed the Microlino – a retro-style electric city car with only a third of the CO₂ footprint of a conventional electric vehicle.

Their aim is to promote smarter, more sustainable and space-saving mobility. Ouboter’s visionary work has earned him multiple accolades, including being named one of the most influential toy inventors of his generation and a finalist of the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Award (2015, 2020). In 2020, Micro Mobility Systems was named one of Europe’s five most innovative companies by Fast Company.
